In addition to the ridiculous birthday present that Jake has already received from his oh-so-generous wife (most of you know of what I speak), we also had a little birthday celebration for Jake this weekend. It included hotdogs, boiled peanuts, a viewing of “The Sandlot,” and…an authentic Mexican baseball piñata. Jake’s Mom and Dad spent the week before in Mexico on a mission trip, and stopped off in New Orleans on their way back home. There was a guy down the street from where they were working in Mexico who made piñatas by hand, so they bought one. You would not believe how tough that thing was! That was Saturday night…
On Monday, Jake’s actual birthday, we went out to O’Henry’s where you get a FREE 12 oz. steak on your birthday. Amazing. I think we’re making this a birthday tradition.
