Things have certainly lain dormant around jakeanddiana.com for a while. Sorry about that. See, we’ve been out of town, and then we were busy getting back into normal life again, and then we’re just generally lazy people. In all that time away, I convinced Jake to let me buy a new CD. It didn’t really take much convincing. Jake doesn’t mind spending money (as if you didn’t already know that). I’m the tightwad in this relationship (you probably knew that too). Jake would let me spend every last penny we have, plus lots of pennies we don’t have, on whatever my heart desires. Which is really sweet, but doesn’t really make for a healthy financial situation. So I guess I convinced myself to let me buy a new CD. I digress…
Anyway, the point is that the CD is amazing, and you should all buy it. Ingrid Michaelson has jumped right to the top of my favorite artists list. She has a beautiful, calm, familiar feeling to her voice. It’s like she’s just one of your friends or something. Her songs just sort of make you smile…and sing along loudly…without caring who hears you. Her lyrics make the most mundane things seem poetic. I’m definitely a fan. And you should be too. I think we’re headed to Bowdon the week of june 16th. It’s their VBS week, so we’ll get to meet people who work with children and youth. I’ll also get to teach a lesson during their Youth VBS. That’s the latest. BTW, I have seen the “red ring of death!!!” NOOOOOOOOOOOO!
