Jake is doing laundry

…right now, at 7:45 in the morning. I didn’t ask him to. He just decided to do laundry. I know all you women out there are asking, “How can I get my husband to do that?” It’s pretty tricky, but once you master the skill, you may never have to do laundry (or any other housework) again. Here’s how it works with Jake. Pay close attention… Just make sure he has a big paper due that he needs to be working on. Almost immediately he will begin to notice all kinds of things that need to be done around the house. It’s amazing. Works every time.

UPDATE: When I got home for lunch, the entire house was clean, including the kitchen (which had contained a mondo stack of dirty dishes when I left for work this morning). Of course, Jake had been home all morning “working on his paper.” I think I will be speaking with Jake’s professors from now on to strategically plan when these big assignments are due, as well as incorporating more of them into the semester. This is great!
