Go Hornets!

After having talked with a friend of ours who did this same thing last year, we decided to buy season tickets for Hornets this year. We won’t be going to all of the games, so we’ll be selling most of the tickets, but were really excited about the season! I’m not going to pretend like I know enough about all of the different variables that go into making a great team, but I do know that they made it to the second round of the playoffs last year, and they’ve added a couple of valuable players to the roster for this year. To me, it sounds like they’re in for another good season. Not to mention there’s just something about New Orleans that makes people (including NBA players) fall in love with it, and inspires them to want to do well. So with all of that in mind I’m going to predict that we will win the Championship this year! Okay, maybe not…but it’s possible…

Anyway, last Sunday we went to an open house at the New Orleans Arena. We got to check out our seats—Section 332, Row 10, Seats 3 & 4…half-court, and facing the players benches…amazing! The picture at the top of this post is the view from our seats. We also got to tour the locker room:

Here we have Jake in Chris Paul’s seat in the locker room. CP3, as they call him here, could probably get whatever he wanted from anyone in this city. New Orleanians ADORE him. I hear he’s a pretty good b-ball player too…

And here I am in Julian Wright’s seat in the locker room. Julian and I go waaaaayyyy back…like to the time last year when I met him and had my picture taken with him, and he said it was nice to meet me. So, yeah, we’re BFFs. I’m his biggest fan. The guy plays in tall socks and a coordinating head band every game. It just doesn’t get any cooler than that.

Now I just can’t wait for the season to finally start!
