If you don’t live in the New Orleans area, then you may not get the reference in the title above, but just suffice it to say that Jared Galleria is a large jewelry store here. Those of you who live here know exactly which commercial I’m referring to, and you probably just read the title outloud the way the girls in the commercial do. :-) I caught you…
But it’s true…he went to Jared. And this is what he brought home for my birthday:
So there you have it. My husband is wonderful, I’m officially spoiled, and I love it. :-)

So sweet!! And, I know the Jared commercials…and you totally caught me saying it in my head..
You are so right! We have Jared in NC and I read the title the same exact way! Funny stuff! Congratulations!
Hannah and Erin–I forget that we have “readers” in such varied geographic locations. There’s no Jared in the P’cola/Mobile area, so I assumed most of our readers (i.e., our moms) would not catch the reference. But I’m glad you guys did!
I may not be familiar with “Jared” but I do know I have a sweet son-in-law. Diana, you should be spoiled because a beautiful girl should have beautiful things.
One knock-off Jared box at French Market = $5
One “diamond-looking” necklace from toy machines at Winn Dixie = $.75
Making wife think you spent a lot for her birthday and giving me “ammunition” = Priceless!
:)
“It can only be Jared” very nice job Jake!
so… lets just say that i completely said the commercial phrase out loud when i read this… and i had to repeat it a couple of times to make sure it sounded just like the commercials. congrats on the beautiful gift!
I can’t believe he went to Jareds! I love those commercials. And Jake picked out a beautiful gift!
