Jake and I will be moving off campus into a new house this month (new to us anyway). Last night, my friend Shannon and I went to Lowe’s to pick out paint colors. I was a little intimidated by the whole process, but with Shannon’s help I was able to pick out colors that I am now SUPER excited about. I love color on the walls! You can click on the picture below to view it a little bigger. You might even be able to see where I wrote in the rooms that will be graced with each color. Let me know what you think, and be brutally honest. I know, the orange-y dining room scared me at first too, but the more I look at it, the more I love it. The house is a standard shotgun house, so you can pretty much see all the rooms straight to the back of the house when you walk in. More to come later on the where and the why we’re moving… But we’re really excited! Now maybe some poor couple who’s living in temporary housing (i.e. a hotel room) can have our apartment. It’s a win-win situation. So now, on with the color…

I was iffy about the orange color at first but I think I might just like it! :-)

Ya’ll are moving off campus!?!? That is exciting. I love the colors, but I am a fan of colors. I wish I was there to help you pick out colors and paint. Miss you guys!
Well, it looks like you have inherited the “Martha Stewart” gene from your Aunt Rita. I’m jealous, you two are so talented. Do you think you could help me convince your father to let me put some color on our walls? ;)
I would do whatever it takes to help you convince daddy to let you paint, refinish the beautiful hardwood that’s hiding under your shag carpet, and generally redecorate. But I think it’s a long shot…
The colors look great! I have a friend that recently did her dining room orange and it looks great! I am sure your’s will too!
I love the blue! When we moved into our house, we had paint picked out for every room. We painted our bedroom first, and it turned out to be the only room that we’ve done so far (almost 2 years later). Best of luck on the painting. It will look great!
