He’s not so little anymore, but I can still take him. :-) We were home this weekend, and while there I convinced Andrew to let me take some pictures of him. He resisted at first, but I’m pretty sure he was lovin’ it by the end. We decided to go for a kind of rustic, l.l. bean-type look, since he hasn’t shaved or had a haircut in the last, oh…3 months I’d say? You work with what you got, right? I think the “ruggedness” (read “hairiness”) works. And lest you be fooled by the oh-so-serious photos that I consider my favs, I’m posting one of the real Andrew at the bottom. Of course, as always, there are a few more at our flickr account. So here you go…
And for the REAL Andrew, in all his ninja glory…

Nice try guys…. That’s not Andrew. That’s a Hobo from the Railroad tracks. Those last few pics are actually the first pics you took as you asked him if you could take pics of him. I’m sure you used food as payment. I’m sure this last pic is his defensive stance when you two approached him! :)
Remember, Andrew’s a little boy who can’t play Halo, like Jake!!!
those look really good diana! props to you.
and i like the “ruggedness” as you referred to it. it’s a good look for him.
That’s MY boy!
you guys should send these to brawny
andrew could so be the paper towel guy
Wow! I had no idea that Andrew’s pics would bring out two, count ‘em, TWO first-time commenters! Robert and Chris…I’m touched. Thanks for boosting our ego just a bit. If either of you two would like to have pictures taken…well, I’m just sayin…I know a girl who does that kinda thing. :-)
Robert, I think you may have just solved Andrew’s career goal crisis. Lawyer? nah. Banker? who needs ‘em? Paper towel guy? Now there’s a career that’ll make Mom and Dad proud.
These are great! I can’t believe Andrew is so grown up…time flies. If we are ever in the same town at the same time, I’ll twist your arm to take pics of John & I. ;-)
Oh, Hannah, don’t be fooled by all the facial hair. He’s no more grown up than the last time you saw him. :-)
You won’t have to do much twisting of my arm, by the way. I usually end up having to twist other people’s arms to let me take the pictures. To have some willing “models” or “subjects” or whatever the correct term is, would be amazing! Maybe Thanksgiving or Christmas…
ok… these are just funny to me! thanks for the laugh. the photography is amazing (and this is not due to the subject in the photos) haha! paper towel guy–love it!
:) so… maybe i could get you to take some pics of me? you truly have an amazing gift! i will be talking to you soon! (as soon as my schoolwork lets up) :)
I know, Shawna. The serious looks in these photos are just so different than the Andrew we know. :-) We should definitely get together and take some pictures. You are beautiful, which makes for nice pictures. :-)
wow, diana!!! your many talents never cease to amaze me!!!
these pictures are fabulous! he looks pretty GQ!
