Tonight, I share with you a picture from the archives of our iPhoto library. It’s one of our favorites. You see, the little girl in this picture should rightly be our child. Her parents even refer to her as our child. There was a time when she would gladly abandon Mom & Dad to go with Jake and “Danna.” (You wouldn’t believe how hard a time kids have with my name.) Of course now, her Mom and Dad decided to move to Georgia without even so much as asking our permission, so we have no way of knowing if her love for us remains the same. But we’re not bitter…
This is from one day when we were babysitting her. She and Jake had already had their fill of Halo on the Xbox, and were just chillin’ on the couch. I love it.
She just looks so cool and relaxed. Hands behind her head, like, “yeah, I’m relaxing on the couch…whatcha gonna do about it?”
Of course, I have to confess that she always did love Jake more than me. Even now, when I talk to her on the phone she wants to know where Jake is. *sigh* I’m still trying to squeeze my way ahead of him though. And I’m not above bribery.

I had to do a double take and make sure that wasn’t Kirsten. Sarah wants to know when your going to come to our “neighborhood.” (Too much TV for this child) She still asks about you and wants to know when she’s going to “Nawlins” to see you 2.
She’s still your child, she just lives with us, you know that whole “I want Mommy” thing! :)
Just because she thinks Jake is “funny” does not necessarily mean she likes him better. Of course, all of you know she loves her Oma the most!!!
