We went to our first parade of the season today–the Mystic Krewe of Barkus–and we took Sam to his first Mardi Gras parade! Barkus is a dog parade that runs through the French Quarter, and it’s so much fun! Sam was quite the ladies man, too. Everywhere we turned there was some lady coming up saying, “oh, he’s so cute! Can I pet him?” And of course he obliged. :-) I wanted to get a picture of us with the parade in the background. I was trying to get Sam to look at the camera, but then I would be looking at him instead. After multiple tries (with humorous results) we finally got one with both of us looking.

Sounds just like people in New Orleans during Mardi Gras. Can’t tell between a dog and a Nutria cause they drinkin’ too much! :)
