Yesterday was my last day at NOBTS. Tomorrow is my first day at my new job. Today, I am in between. I had a good deal of preparing to do for Jennie & Rich’s shower on Sunday, but I also wanted to take some time for fun stuff that I don’t usually have time for. Like really getting to know my new camera. It’s not so new anymore, actually, as I’ve had it since the end of December. But since I got it, I haven’t had much time to delve into the depths of all it’s intricate options and settings and what-not. I explored a little of that today. And since the cutest thing around here to take test pictures of is Sam (Jake was at school…), he became my model. He didn’t mind, really. He just sat in his new favorite place to be–the recliner by the front door–and stared at me while I played with settings, clicked the shutter button, played with settings, clicked the shutter button, played wi… You get the idea. Who needs a manual, anyway? So here he is. In his new favorite place.

His new favorite place

At first I had these grand ideals that I would not overload the blog or my flickr account with pictures of Sam. I’ve long since abandoned that effort. He’s just so darn cute. How could I deprive you good people by NOT sharing his pictures with you? I’m glad to see we agree on this. Sam pictures = fair game for any blog, any day.
