You guys are the best!

Well, if you’ve been to Kelly Moore’s blog, or to my Facebook profile, you already know that I didn’t win the contest. Not even close, apparently. But I’m really not all that torn up about it. Honestly, I was starting to question my ability to actually come up with a song and music video that would be both creative and entertaining. And then there’s the pressure of being such a newbie at a workshop with experienced professionals. Not to mention, I’d have to take off work and travel and get a hotel room and such. So maybe I’ll just keep on learning and taking pictures for a while, save up some money, and then consider the possibility of a workshop like that sometime in the future. It’s probably better that way.

One other very positive thing came from this experience, though. I had so many people coming up and telling me they read my blog and voted for me. These are people who I had NO IDEA read our blog. I’m flattered, really. (Perhaps a little creeped out.) But even more so, I feel more pressure to keep things interesting. I certainly don’t want to disappoint. So to all of you who are haphazard, rainy day blog visitors…I pledge to you guys that I will keep it fun around here, and I pledge to include pictures more often than not (since we all know that people would rather look at pictures than read my random thoughts)…so keep coming back. :-)

So again, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to everyone who voted! You guys are the best! If any of you ever enter a contest and need my vote, you better believe I’m there for you.
