This is the look we’re getting from him for right now.

See, Sam had a little surgery this morning. A little surgery that Jake (and every other male we’ve talked to, I might add) vehemently protested. But the once-house-broken little booger’s been “marking” all over our house for the last month! It was time. I’m sure he’ll recover and never know the difference, but for now, he’s one sad puppy. It’s pretty pitiful, actually. I find my bottom lip poking out involuntarily when I look at him now…he just looks so sad. :-(

Sam is officially holding a grudge against me. He does not realize that I tried with all of my power to prevent this from happing to the poor guy! :-(
i’m glad to finally see a new post here, but saddened because of the occasion. i’m sure adam would protest too (if we had a dog). sam does look pitiful though.
Aww….he’s pitiful! I don’t remember Meeko giving us such bad looks after surgery.
poor thing.

I think he loved them more than us. He just followed them around, played with them, licked them on the face (because they let him…), slept with them, and just generally wanted to be wherever they were. It made for some funny moments, particularly with the 5-year-old twins. At some point they discovered that he had a “wiener.” I’m pretty sure it made Sam feel good that someone noticed, you know, since…the incident. [...]
