We spent last week/weekend with these three little sweeties:
Their mom & dad (Jake’s aunt & uncle) went on an anniversary trip, and we kept the kids. Call it a parenthood primer. Complete with tennis, soccer, t-ball, pre-school, real school, etc. Lots of fun, but also exhausting. :-)
Did I mention that they LOVED Sam? I was kind of afraid he would know what to do with three crazy kids (chihuahuas aren’t exactly known for being the friendliest, most kid-loving canines out there), but Sam was amazing with them! I think he loved them more than us. He just followed them around, played with them, licked them on the face (because they let him…), slept with them, and just generally wanted to be wherever they were. It made for some funny moments, particularly with the 5-year-old twins. At some point they discovered that he had a “wiener.” I’m pretty sure it made Sam feel good that someone noticed, you know, since…the incident.
So anyway, fun times.
In baby news, we’ll be finding out whether little Baby Bondo is a boy or girl next Wednesday…assuming (s)he cooperates, that is. I’m tired of referring to our child as “it” so I’m hoping “it” won’t be too shy. I’ll be posting my first belly pic tomorrow, probably. I’m not particularly fond of my belly right now (not quite pregnant looking, but definitely not thin anymore), but I figure at 17-and-a-half weeks and only a week away from discovering the gender it’s probably time for me to embrace it. And share a picture. So I will…tomorrow. :-)
