Where we are now

It’s been a busy, stressful, wonderful few weeks/months that have led us here.

The last year of praying for direction and waiting for God’s answer has seemed like an eternity, but in the mean time we’ve learned a lot about His provision and sovereignty.  He doesn’t worry.  He doesn’t stress.  He doesn’t get impatient.  His plans are perfect, and His timing is perfect.  Even if that means moving while 8 months pregnant.  :)

Jake has filled the pulpit at Canoe Baptist Church for the last couple of months, and the last Sunday in January they voted to call him as pastor.  I’m pretty sure they mostly just wanted Noah, but they kinda have to take Jake and me if they want him.  :)  I’m just kidding…they’ve been wonderful to all of us, and have treated us like family from the very first Sunday.

I mentioned that we moved…Canoe has a parsonage that we have moved into.  It’s been a lot of work moving in, but it’s a wonderful house settled in the most peaceful surroundings.  Not to mention it has one extra bedroom than we had before.  And considering we’re about to have one extra person than we had before, that works out nicely.

We’ve spent all of our time the last two weeks getting the inside settled, so the yard still needs a little love, but it’ll get there.  Even so, I LOVE the yard.

I love the view from the front porch.

And I love, love, LOVE the trees.

We’re two weeks in now, and it’s really starting to feel like home.  I’m excited about bringing Caleb home here in a few more weeks, and I’m really excited to see what God has in store for this church and this community.  Please pray for us, for Canoe Baptist Church, and for the people we will have the opportunity to impact through this church.  We love you guys!

  1. That’s so great! Love the yard and trees too! Such a cute house! Congratulations! Can’t wait to “see” Caleb. Hope you are doing well and getting some rest!

  2. I am so happy for you both. Your new home looks delightful, and very peaceful. I am sure the members of Canoe are very blessed to have you two (make that four!). We still miss you at Grace. Take some pictures of the church, and the interior of your home. God is good.

  3. Our family is so excited for yours. What a beautiful setting to grow a family and your faith. You are blessed!
